Description
The route is around 47 km long and takes you to one of the most beautiful resting places in the Weinviertel. At the end of the cycle tour, we recommend a visit to one of the wine taverns in Mistelbach.

- Route description The cycling route starts at the parking lot of the MAMUZ Museum Mistelbach. Mistelbach can be reached by train or bus. You can get to the starting point by a short walk. From here, cycle towards Eibesthal. At the Bonifatius Marterl, turn right. After about a 4-minute ride, you must turn left at the third path. Continue until you reach the federal road. Follow the federal road to Eibesthal up to the church. Here, turn right once and cycle along the Eibesbach under the motorway and the Mistelbacher street to the EuroVelo cycling route Vienna-Breclav. Follow this route to Hobersdorf. At the Liechtenstein Schloss Wilfersdorf, you can visit a local history museum – from prehistoric times to today.Then continue to Kettlasbrunn. For refreshment, you will find a well-equipped self-service cellar at the pleasure rest area near the tree circle. Here you can learn interesting facts about the tree – from Celtic culture to viticulture. You can take a culinary break at the Gasthof Schmidt. Then ride through the Kettlasbrunn forest to Blumenthal. Before Blumenthal, you will encounter the "Muscat" wine cycle path. You cycle on this path to Obersulz. The Museumsdorf Niedersulz, the largest open-air museum in Lower Austria, is definitely worth a "detour."The cycling route continues along the "Zweigelt" wine cycle path through Nexing to Schrick. The Nexing Muschelberg, also called Nexing Switzerland, is an impressive garden with a collection of shells. A short break in the idyllic small village with views of the ponds ensures you can continue with full energy. At the Gasthof Oase am Teich, you can enjoy delicious fish dishes in the beer garden right by the water before tackling a slight incline towards Schrick. Those who prefer traditional Austrian cuisine should plan their break at the "Landhaus" restaurant or the "Zum goldenen Igel" tavern in Schrick.Afterwards, the route continues through the cultural landscape of Paasdorf and from there on the "Blauburger" wine cycle path back to the starting point in Mistelbach. You should visit the Seltenhammer Heuriger in Paasdorf to not miss the fine game specialties from their own hunt and the homemade pastries.You can end the cycling tour with a relaxing coffee at Café Harlekin or tasty meals at the "Diesner" restaurant or the "Hotel-Restaurant Zur Linde."
- Parking 300 m from the MAMUZ Museum Mistelbach is the associated parking lot. There you can park your car for free.
- Getting there You can reach Mistelbach by car via the A5 motorway. From Retz or Laa, take federal road B46. From Hollabrunn, federal road B40 leads to Mistelbach.
- Public transport Mistelbach is accessible by both train and bus.Many connections are offered from Laa and from Vienna or Wolkersdorf.
- Editor’s tip At the halfway point, we recommend a detour to the Museumsdorf Niedersulz, Lower Austria's largest open-air museum. On the way through Obersulz, you briefly leave the route and switch to the Muscat cycle path towards Niedersulz.
