Description

Winegrowing had a long tradition at Schloss Bockfließ. The barrels in the former press house in the Weinviertel are now empty. However, the rooms are still bursting with life. The ladies and gentlemen of the castle cellar are responsible for this: Bernadette and Samuel Pope have been serving high-quality restaurant cuisine since 2018. The menu promises fine food with a down-to-earth approach, from roast chicken breast and homemade gnocchi to boiled shoulder of beef. International influences are also recognizable. Samuel, who was born in England, expands and enriches the menu with a British twist. Refined dishes are created with the Weinviertel as a contrast. The best proof of this is the Eton Mess dessert with fruit from the region.

Deep indulgence

In addition to the fine tavern cuisine, it is the ambience that is many things - just not ordinary. The Schlosskeller Bockfließ is characterized by a massive vaulted ceiling. The interior is friendly with white walls and lots of light. One floor below, in the former press house, two historic tree presses dating back to 1698 elegantly contribute to the extraordinary flair. A historic location in the Weinviertel, which is often booked exclusively for family and company celebrations. In the summer months, the pub garden is usually the preferred choice. Don't resist the home-made apple or grape juice. Strengthened, guests can admire the wine cellar lanes of Bockfließ for a pleasant end to the day.
