Doris and Martin Birsak's winery is small but fine. Here, great importance is attached to the quality of the wines, which are produced with a great deal of time and care. The main varieties are Grüne Veltliner and Blauer Zweigelt, supplemented by Riesling and Muscat. The wines reflect the passion and dedication with which they are produced. The unique location of Röschitz seems to be made for the cultivation of Veltliner. Loess soils and the mild Pannonian climate of the western Weinviertel offer ideal conditions. The nearby Waldviertel with its cool nights provides perfect conditions for the finest Veltliner. Riesling also develops a special sophistication on primary rock soils under these conditions.
