At the eastern end of Ragelsdorf, near the castle, stands the neo-Gothic crypt chapel of the Ehrenfels family. The cruciform building with buttresses, pointed arch portal and pointed arch windows was completed in 1859. It has a striking high ridge turret on the west side.
The chapel was built over the crypt of Johann Michael Ritter von Ehrenfels, who owned Ragelsdorf from 1818. It was later extended as the burial chapel of his descendant Magdalena von Ehrenfels. In the same year of its completion, the family sold the entire estate including the chapel to Göttweig Abbey, which gave the building to the people of Ragelsdorf as a chapel - with the condition that descendants of the Ehrenfels family may be buried there.
In front of the chapel there is a white stone memorial stone taller than a man, showing a kneeling woman. Originally erected at the Vienna Central Cemetery, it was in danger of being disposed of when the burial site there was abandoned. A parishioner from Ragelsdorf rescued it, had it thoroughly renovated and gave it a new place here.
