Weingut Seher

Weingut Seher is located in Platt, Weinviertel (Lower Austria). Since 2001 the winery is managed by Wolfgang Seher. We are cultivating vineyards in Platt and Obermarkersdorf. The different terroirs, limy loess and clay soil in Platt and lime-free soil on primary rocks in Obermarkersdorf, enable us to grow several varieties suitable for the location.

In our 14 hectares vineyards we mainly grow Grüner Veltliner, the variety typical for the Weinviertel region. Furthermore we cultivate the white varieties Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc and Gelber Muskateller as well as the red varieties Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. On average we produce 60.000 bottles a year. As a result of constantly striving for quality we are listed in Gault Millau and Falstaff wineguides.
