The market town of Gaweinstal is nestled in the beautiful hilly landscape of the Weinviertel. There is plenty of space here for rest and relaxation as well as sporting activities. Family-friendly hiking trails lead past vineyards that characterize the landscape. They are ideal for walking, hiking and Nordic walking, and there are also numerous cycle paths. Worth seeing are the revitalized baroque vicarage dating back to 1744 with its numerous cultural events, the White Cross on the church square and the imposing church. Gaweinstal also has an excellent infrastructure.
Start at the municipal office (Kirchenplatz 3) – pass several fish ponds – go under the highway and turn left toward Pellendorf – Leopold-Frank-Straße – follow Neusiedlerweg toward Sandwald – take the dirt road through the woods back to Pellendorf – Walk toward Gaweinstal – via Feldgasse and Pfarrgasse back to the municipal office
Parking is available at the municipal office.
Gaweinstal is accessible by car via the A5 North Highway. The town is located directly on Federal Highway B7.
