Description
Enjoy the landscape between Mollmannsdorf and Schleinbach! The nostalgic Leiserberge regional express train from Vienna or Korneuburg takes you to the Mollmannsdorf stop, the starting point of the "Landesbunny Rübensteig".
Through the quiet center of a typical Weinviertel village you reach the edge of the forest - gently ascending, the marked path leads you through shady deciduous forest past resting places, crossroads and shrines at approx. 350 m above sea level. Here you can choose from numerous hiking trail options in all directions.
If you follow the "carrots", the descent to Schleinbach now begins in a romantic forest ditch, which leads into the Schleinbach wine cellar lane. You continue through the well-kept village center of Schleinbach to the train station - from here you have an hourly express train connection to Vienna.
Why Landesbunny-Rübensteig? Numerous hares can be seen from the train along the Landesbahn - the Landesbunnys! Rabbits like turnips - so the symbol for the trail marking was born!
Numerous boards with easy and somewhat more difficult puzzles provide plenty of entertainment, especially for children!
A total of 8 "stamps" are hidden along the trail. Anyone who stamps the "Landesbunny-Rübensteig" folder with them can pick up a little surprise at the inn near Schleinbach station.
