Zayataler Schienentaxi

The Zayataler Schienentaxi runs on a disused section of the former "Mistelbach - Ernstbrunn" railway line. The starting point is the Interspar in Mistelbach. The boarding point for the rail cab is on the opposite side of the traffic circle. On the way, it stops at Asparn/Zaya station and finally takes its guests to the Draisinenalm Grafensulz.

The journey combines nature and time travel in equal measure: Through pristine forest landscapes and past historical sites, the journey takes you comfortably through the Zaya Valley. The route offers views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

The Draisienanlm Grafensulz offers typical regional delicacies at weekends and on public holidays from 10.00 to approx. 17.00 from the beginning of May to mid-October.

You can continue to Ernstbrunn on the Weinviertel Draisine, for example.

Tips for a day trip at the stations of the Zayatal rail cab:
Asparn/Zaya:

• Weinviertel trolley
• MAMUZ Schloss Asparn
• Kellergassen guided tour (every 1st Saturday of the month from May to October)

Grafensulz:

• Weinviertel trolley
• Draisinenalm Grafensulz: snack station with a great view over the eastern Weinviertel and a variety of play options

Weinviertel round trip with the Regiobahn (regiobahn.at):

• Take the "Leiser Berge adventure train" on some Saturdays (on 3.5., 7.6., 5.7., 2.8. , 4.10.2025) from Vienna Praterstern at 09.23 to Ernstbrunn in a decelerating way and from there continue with the Weinviertel Draisine or the nature park bus to Asparn an der Zaya station. The rail cab will then take you to Mistelbach (connection to the express train).
