Description
Haggenberg Castle is located in the village of Hagenberg, which belongs to the municipality of Fallbach.
The name of the castle is derived from the former place name Hakenberg.
The current spelling of the castle's name is Schloss Haggenberg, following historical documents.
The castle, which is surrounded by a moat overgrown with reeds and accessible via a stone bridge and an avenue of chestnut trees, became famous for the paintings on the outer and courtyard walls.
Marion and Michael Osmann have been the new owners since the beginning of 2020 and are now ensuring that the castle is gently restored. Work on the frescoes in the large ballroom began in 2020.
Immerse yourself in the era, walk through the entrance hall into the banqueting hall, out into the inner courtyard and marvel at the shell grotto. You will also learn interesting facts and interesting facts about the castle and its history.
