Schaugarten Am Pulverturm

The garden offers views over Mistelbach and the Weinviertel hills. The 1,500 m² plot comprises the mature old garden section with swimming biotope, shade bed and bamboo grove on the one hand and the planned new garden on the other.

A well thought-out network of paths, accompanied by lush flowerbeds, opens up the entire area. Hedges divide the garden into spaces and create visual axes. In recent years, further architectural elements have been created from old bricks, as well as numerous seating areas, a symmetrical vegetable garden, a rose roundel bordered with boxwood and a sunken garden planted in the colors of the rainbow. The main plants are box, roses, lilies, funkia, cranesbill and grasses. Appropriate lighting and the use of many white-flowering and silver-leaved plants make the garden glow at night. Early harbingers of spring, lush summer bloomers, bright autumn colors and bizzare winter designs create ever-changing garden images and make the garden appear attractive at any time of year.
