Raritäten Privatmuseum Röschitz
Museum
Description
The Raritäten Privatmuseum Röschitz is a place that brings the past to life. With over 5000 exhibits, it offers a comprehensive insight into life in the village and the old crafts. From carpenters, wainwrights, locksmiths, blacksmiths, cobblers, saddlers and tailors to an old people's dairy, viticulture and agriculture - history becomes tangible here. The exhibition also includes old motorcycles and mopeds from 1938 to 1970, cars, tractors and bicycles, 100 years of radio history and much more. A special highlight is the café bar with pinball machine, jukebox and slot machines. In addition to the handicraft and technical exhibits, the museum also offers an extensive collection of found objects and documentation from the time of the monarchy and the First and Second World Wars. Visitors can embark on a journey through the 19th and 20th centuries and immerse themselves in times long past. The museum's outdoor area features a baking oven, a clay brick production facility and the smallest wine museum in Austria, where you can experience sitting in a 90-bucket wine barrel. The earth barn information point with historical documents and a film screening about the Röschitz earth barns rounds off the offer.
