Description

Korneuburg City Museum - experience the history of the city

The Korneuburg Town Museum, originally built in 1908 as the "Tröpferlbad", was converted into a museum in the 1960s and expanded into a cultural center in 1989. It presents several lovingly designed exhibitions that vividly convey the history of Korneuburg and the region.

The collection includes everyday objects from the 19th and 20th centuries as well as objects and documents from the former shipyard, which document the importance of the shipyard for the town. The collection is complemented by a library and an extensive photo collection.

Exhibitions, events and cultural education bring the history and culture of the city and the region to life.

More information can be found directly on the website of the city museum.

The museum is easy to reach: It is around 4 minutes on foot from Korneuburg train station, 40 minutes by S3, S4 or REX from Vienna Central Station and around 70 minutes from St. Pölten. Public bus lines also connect the city center with the museum.
