Kellergasse Großharras

Cellar-lined roads

Description

Wine excursion with a magical flair: the ancient, white-painted buildings of the Großharras wine cellar lane in the Weinviertel region form a real postcard backdrop. They are nestled on both sides of a ravine on the western edge of the village. There are a total of 60 cellar buildings, primarily eaves-standing, which are closely packed together here. The oldest dating back to 1830, the dreamy, historically narrow lane is best discovered on a leisurely stroll. At the end of the alley is a wine press from 1890 that is well worth seeing.

The unmistakable charm of the Weinviertel wine cellar lanes can be experienced most impressively on a guided tour.
This provides fascinating insights into their history and the former significance of these special places.
