Kellergasse "Gstetten" Poysdorf

Cellar-lined roads

Description

With over 30 press houses and wine cellars behind them, the "Gstetten" wine cellar lane in Poysdorf is one of the oldest in Poysdorf. Probably the most impressive cellar is the former monastery cellar, which belonged to the Capuchins in the 18th century and now invites you to visit the Schlumberger sparkling wine world.

Furthermore, the "Gstetten" has the character of a cellar quarter rather than a wine cellar lane due to its circular structure. In the middle is the Poydium, whose stage is used for events such as concerts and performances, especially in the summer months. Since the 1950s, the district winegrowers' festival has been held annually in September in Gstetten and is known throughout the region.

The unmistakable charm of the Weinviertel wine cellar lanes can be experienced most impressively on a guided tour.
This provides fascinating insights into their history and the former significance of these special places.
