Hiatahütte Unterdürnbach
Historical sites
Description
There has been a "Hiata hut" in the vineyards of Unterdürnbach for more than a hundred years. Back then, the so-called "Hiata" stayed in this hut until the grape harvest. He stayed in the vineyards to protect the vineyards from grape thieves and to drive away swarms of starlings. The hut served as his accommodation for several months. During the day, but especially at night, he roamed the vineyards looking for thieves and punished them.
