Description
A journey into the past of kitchen history
The museum is equipped with many fully furnished kitchens from several decades from 1900 to 1970. The centerpiece is an original kitchen from the 1960s with lily porcelain "Daisy" and many collector's items.
Other old kitchens contain lovingly collected pieces from grandmother's time. Particularly eye-catching here are the larder with delicacies (recipes also available) and magnificent storage containers. The variety of kitchen and cooking utensils is enormous. For example, a large number of historical cookie cutters are on display. On a journey of discovery into the "good old days", visitors get an impression of the technical revolution that also took place in our kitchens in the last century.
The "mixed goods shop" is an old-fashioned shop with original inventory from the Wilhelminian era (1877), which includes items from the store's 100-year stock.
