KLEINHAUS – Bio Weinbau Killmeyer

The Killmeyer organic winery in Raggendorf is a place where tradition and innovation meet. This winery has been run by the Killmeyer family since 1970 and has been certified organic since 2006. The organic-biological cultivation stands for the highest grape quality, which serves as the basis for outstanding wines. Every year, the aim is to develop and perfect new wine styles. With 12 hectares of vineyards in the southern Weinviertel and a red wine share of around 40%, the winery stands out from others in the region. The gentle hills of the region provide protection from the north wind, which increases the sugar content of the Cider and creates ideal conditions for full-bodied red wines. Exclusive wine tastings offer exciting insights into viticulture. These begin with an introduction to tasting techniques and quality assessment as well as vintage comparisons. The challenges of organic viticulture and the relationship between wine and health are then explained. However, the wine tasting is not only serious, but also entertaining with wine poems, jokes and anecdotes. A total of around 15 wines from the Killmeyer organic winery will be tasted. The wine tastings take place all year round and offer a unique experience for wine lovers.
