Description
In the middle of the Weinviertel in the district of Mistelbach, 30 km north of Vienna, in Atzelsdorf lies the Marillenhof Hackl with over 23,000 apricot trees surrounding the Marillenhof. The farm, which has been run by the 10th generation since 1711, stands for tradition, regionality and naturalness. Delicious, sun-ripened apricots with a full fruit flavor that is reflected in the apricot products grow here in harmony with nature. In the farm's own jam factory, the hand-picked, fully ripe fruits are processed fresh from the harvest into the finest jam. Since June 2016, 2000 happy free-range laying hens have been allowed to roam directly in the apricot garden & lay fresh Hackls Marillengarten eggs. Subsequently, turkey stables were opened. A rearing barn with 1000m², 2 fattening barns with 2500m² each, our own wood chip heating plant for heat supply, a drying plant, a feed and wood chip store and our own slaughterhouse have also been built at Marillenhof Hackl since August 2021. A new home with the best animal welfare standards has been created for over 25,000 turkeys.
