Winzerhof Michael Gruber
Description
Michael Gruber's winery, located around 10 km north of Vienna's city limits in the wine village of Putzing, looks back on a long tradition. The Gruber family has been growing wine here since 1768. This centuries-long experience was honored in 2003 with the Golden Medal of Honor from the state of Lower Austria. The farm offers a variety of white wines, including Grüne Veltliner, Welschriesling, Muskateller, Sauvignon blanc and Gemischter Satz. The red wine range consists of Zweigelt, Blauburger and St. Laurent. The perfect interplay of climate and soil, yield-reducing pruning, foliage work and grape thinning create optimal conditions for the grapes to thrive. The use of modern and gentle cellar technology in combination with the high quality of the grapes results in wines with a typical regional character.
