Weingut Mayr Minichhofen is a place of passion for nature and enjoyment. Situated amidst the gentle, sun-drenched slopes of the Schmidatal valley, the vineyards here are cultivated with great dedication, respect for nature and a love of wine. The Grüner Veltliner in particular, from which the characterful Weinviertel DAC is pressed, is the focus of passion. But Riesling and the rare, traditional Roter Veltliner are also cultivated with great care. The unique soils of the Schmidatal, characterized by calcareous sand from the primeval sea, mineral gravel from the Urdonau and fertile loess from the Ice Age, give the wines an unmistakable signature. The close-to-nature cultivation, the deliberate avoidance of herbicides and insecticides and the harmonious interaction with nature result in wines whose taste can be felt in every glass.
