Wilfersdorf

Description

The history of the market town of Wilfersdorf is inextricably linked to the family of the Princes of Liechtenstein. Numerous monuments and buildings in the village bear witness to this eventful past. One of the magnificent baroque buildings in the townscape is Wilfersdorf Castle, which has even been one of Lower Austria's Top Excursion Destinations since 2005. In the parish church of St. Nikolaus, one of the former patron churches of the Liechtensteins, there is also a family vault of the noble family.

There are numerous idyllic wine cellar lanes in the market town of Wilfersdorf. The best known is the "Fuchsenweg" wine cellar lane in Bullendorf. Certified cellar lane guides explain the history and the importance of wine in the past and today over a hearty snack.

In our wine taverns (e.g. Schlossheuriger) you can enjoy quality wines and regional delicacies in a cozy and historic atmosphere.
