Your stay
ATTENTION: The Wildcat Camp is an educational facility and can therefore only be booked for school classes as part of project days.
Free and wild like a wildcat - that's the motto for children and young people who spend the night in the youth accommodation. The shy forest cat was thought to be extinct in Austria. Since its rediscovery in the Thayatal, it has been a symbol of wilderness and an extraordinary experience of nature in the national park. Far away from everyday school life and the familiar surroundings, a stay at the Wildcat Camp guarantees an unforgettable nature experience from morning to night and promotes cohesion and team spirit in the class community.
The Wildcat Camp in the Thayatal National Park offers school classes overnight accommodation with a high level of comfort in the immediate vicinity of the National Park House. In addition to tried and tested programs, overnight stays can also be combined with special activities such as a wildcat night hike, a scavenger hunt or campfire evenings to create 2.5-day or 4.5-day packages. The programs are optimally tailored to the needs of the students and the surrounding area. Due to the proximity to the National Park House, transfers are largely reduced, making the package prices correspondingly affordable. Public transportation from Vienna by train and bus is also possible.
