Weingut Philipp Schmidt, a traditional family business, was taken over by Franz Josef, Philipp with Birgit and Johanna with Lilly in 2016. With respect for the long tradition, proven quality and many new ideas, they have succeeded in retaining regular guests and making new friends. The vineyards of the winery extend over Hagenbrunn, Großebersdorf, Bisamberg, Klein Engersdorf and Vienna. The soils of the vineyards around Bisamberg are particularly rich in loess and limestone, which has a positive effect on the quality of the wines. All the vineyards are located in the Pannonian climate zone, characterized by dry summers and winters and low rainfall. Each individual vine is carefully tended and processed before the grapes are processed in the wine cellar. The combination of modernity and tradition, care and precision in the vineyard and cellar results every year in wines of excellent quality with a style typical of the region and great taste.
