Weingut Jordan

Description

The Jordan winery, located in the small village of Groß-Reipersdorf, near the old wine-growing town of Pulkau, is a place where the winemaking tradition has been upheld since 1858. The current management of the winery has been in the hands of Simone Hiller-Jordan and her partner Hannes, supported by her parents, since 2010. The philosophy of the winery is to capture the fascination of nature and to harvest the best qualities that nature allows. The soils of primary rock and loess-loess, together with the combination of the rough Waldviertel winds and the Pannonian climate of the Weinviertel, offer ideal conditions for expressive wines. Although the Weinviertel is known for its white wines, the Pulkau vineyards, especially Ried Haselparz, are an island of red wines. This is reflected in the Jordan winery's preference for red wine, especially the old Austrian varieties Zweigelt and St. Laurent. The winery uses the knowledge of previous generations, combining it with the latest technology and its own experience to passionately press wines that invite you to keep drinking.
