Weingut Josef Fischer
Description
The Josef Fischer winery is a traditional agricultural business that has existed since 1870 and has been dedicated to viticulture for generations. In recent years, the winery has increasingly focused on the production of single-varietal single-vineyard wines. Around 6 hectares of vineyards are currently cultivated, all of which are located on the hills of the Bisamberg. The white wines are fermented exclusively in stainless steel tanks, while the red wines are vinified in oak barrels. The wines are vinified dry, using modern technology to emphasize fruitiness, varietal character and terroir. The wines are matured in the air-conditioned cellar directly in the Fischer family's courtyard. The winery's old vaulted cellar, which offers a view of the soil structure of the Aichleiten vineyards above, ensures a constant temperature all year round and thus creates ideal conditions for the long-term storage of the red wines.
