Weinbau Familie Müllner

Jedenspeigen, located directly on the Morava River on the border with Slovakia, is an area that lies on the Weinviertel - Süd Wine Road. Excellent white wines thrive here under the climatic influence of the March. The Müllner family runs a small winery in this region, where three generations press exceptional wines together. Each wine bears the personal signature of the winemakers and the Müllner family places great emphasis on regional typicity in their wines. The wines are given the time they need and are matured to different quality levels. The main variety is Grüne Veltliner, which is offered as Weinviertel DAC, Grüne Veltliner Privat and Grüne Veltliner Rudolf von Habsburg. The latter is a mature, complex Veltliner that is aged for 10 months in French wooden barrels. The name of the wine recalls the great medieval battle of 1278 between Dürnkrut and Jedenspeigen, where the fate of Austria and the Habsburg empire was decided. A modern presentation and tasting room was built some time ago by the Müllner family, where the wines can be tasted and purchased.
