Weinbau Fam. Bendl

Description

The Bendl family's vineyard covers an area of 5 hectares and is home to a variety of grape varieties, including Blauer Portugieser, Zweigelt, Blauburger, Cabernet Sauvignon and Welschriesling. Grüne Veltliner and Pinot Blanc thrive in the wine-growing community of Mailberg. The quality of the wines is the focus and begins in the vineyard with moderate pruning, intensive foliage work and integrated plant protection. Gentle processing of the grapes using modern technologies ensures the high quality of the wines. The red wines are produced using the classic open fermentation method and are matured and stored exclusively in oak barrels. The Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties are then matured further in barrique-limousin oak barrels. Today, the Bendl winery is one of the recognized red wine producers in the Weinviertel. The wines are mainly sold to private customers and the catering trade. Cellar tours and wine tastings are possible by prior arrangement and offer an insight into the world of wine.
