Keller-Wohlfühlplatz im Kitla-Keller
Description
The large Kellertrift in Haugsdorf is beautifully embedded in a deep hollow path. The picturesque Trift, which is around 1 kilometer long, leads to the 296-meter-high Hutberg. There you can enjoy a fantastic view over the Pulkau valley. The first cellar pipes were dug in loess here around 300 years ago and in the heyday of wine cellar lanes - more than 100 years ago - almost every house owner in Haugsdorf had their own cellar. Nowadays, only a few cellars are still in their original use. The grandmother passed the cellar, which was in need of renovation, on to her grandson Florian Kitla and brought it back to life as a cellar feel-good place. In and in front of the cellar you will find seating, information material about the region and bike service material such as pumps and tools.
