The Wine Tour weekend gets underway on Friday in Mailberg, Obermarkersdorf, Poysdorf, Pulkau and Wolkersdorf with a series of special events!
A large number of producers present their outstanding wines, giving an early taste of what’s to come over the next two days. Culinary delights and cultural highlights ensure that the evening is a memorable experience.
The diversity of Grüner Veltliner - an evening for connoisseurs
The Mailberg winemakers present their wines from different vineyards and vintages, which show how versatile the typical Austrian grape variety can be. Chef Christoph Schüller takes care of the culinary delights with a 7-course tasting menu, finely tuned to the rich nuances of the Grüner Veltliner - from youthfully fresh to spicy.

An evening for all the senses
Start of the season in the wine and town community of Schrattenthal
12 winemakers invite you to the vinophile opening at the Franz Joseph Wirtshaus in Obermarkersdorf! In addition to the new vintage, wine lovers will also find precious rarities from local wineries as well as a bubble bar for sparkling enjoyment. The friendly village innkeeper Michael Fabich conjures up culinary highlights and provides the right accompaniment to the meal with a delicacy buffet from the inn kitchen. The evening is musically framed by the three Hollabrunn musicians "Niedermeyer-Bauda-Jordan", who ensure the best musical mood with great guitar sound, Austropop as well as pop and rock numbers, some of them in three voices!

Wine, Jazzaznah & Tapas
At the Eisenhuthaus, a delightful start to your Weinviertel wine tour awaits: Stroll from winemaker to winemaker in the unique atmosphere of the Renaissance courtyard and taste their excellent wines. The Eisenhuthaus will treat you to delicious Weinviertel tapas, while the band Jazzaznah [Jessas na] plays jazz standards and modern rhythms, as well as traditional brass band pieces, accompanied by vocals in the Weinviertel dialect.

An evening with strong, mature wines from the magnum bottle and sparkling specialties. The winemakers present also offer their exquisite Weinviertel DAC 2025 for tasting. The event is accompanied by the chilling sounds of Mustard Pickles. The wine terrace team serves delicious Weinviertel tapas. A wine journey that touches all the senses!
