The Wine and Culture Trail connects the historic town of Wolkersdorf in the Weinviertel region with its distinctive wine-growing and natural landscape. Historical sights, cultural institutions, vineyards, and breathtaking views across the Weinviertel region all the way to Vienna and the Schneeberg mountain characterize the trail.

The Wine and Culture Trail winds through Wolkersdorf in the Weinviertel and the gently rolling countryside surrounding the town. The route connects Wolkersdorf’s wine cellar lane, vineyards, nature, culture, and historical sights, offering beautiful views of the Weinviertel all the way to Vienna and the Schneeberg along the way.

Along the trail, vineyards, fields, and the open Weinviertel landscape define the scenery. The route conveys an impression of the importance of viticulture to the region and leads through a cultural landscape characteristic of the southern Weinviertel.

A special highlight is the starting and ending point of the circular hiking trail: Wolkersdorf Castle. The current castle complex dates back to a fortress built around 1420 and today houses, among other things, the Regional Music School, restaurants, and event and gallery spaces.
