Description

Family-friendly adventure tour around the famous Grüne Veltliner.

A truly extraordinary themed trail with a good balance of modernity and tradition.

There are original features such as a wine cellar from 1827 and a charnel house with a view inside. Watch a film about viticulture in the olden days or try your hand at smelling the types of wine grown here.

Staged eye-catchers draw your attention to the gifts of nature: the 360° panorama and the wonderful distant view to the Eye of God and from there back to the Maulavern. The latter is one of the most beautiful wine cellar lanes in the Weinviertel (with a grape variety trail.)

Unique, larger-than-life sculptures along the Veltliner and Veltlinchen tour have already become the new Zellerndorf landmarks and popular photo points.

A freshly hatched stave-footed bird meanders across a playground, while a giant grape juice bottle rises up from another. And if you've always wanted to know how the zodiac signs feel about wine, we recommend Jean Genie's wine horoscope along the Pulkau.

Last but not least, interesting facts: you can learn historical and bizarre facts, for example about the Ui dialect. Or do you know what a "Saubär" was or what "bloaten" means? Exactly! Have fun and relax - ideally with an entertaining audio guide as your companion, a "movie for the ear"

Tip: Book a guided tour of the cellar lanes

Guided walk through our most beautiful wine cellar lanes, history and stories about the "villages without chimneys", viticulture in the olden days, "naive architecture" and much more. And of course the cellar lane guide has a cellar key with him!

Guided tour of the cellar lanes, duration: 1 to 2 hours
