The one-hour themed trail Spuren am Land leads through Mitter- and Oberretzbach in the Weinviertel. Short audio recordings can be accessed on site at 13 stations using QR codes. Available in either German or Czech, the audio recordings tell the story of the region's history and contemporary everyday life - supplemented by the life stories of local residents. The project website www.spurenamland.at takes a closer look at selected topics and provides insights into the Weinviertel region through private recordings and artistic photographs.

The tour begins in Mitterretzbach at what is now the Bauernshop (1). From there, it continues to the inn (2), which reopened in 2022. The themed trail leads up Waldstraße to house number 24 (3). The next stop is Brunnenplatz (4), followed by the wine cellar lane (5). Running alongside the former ice and cooling pond (6), the route crosses a hill on the border with Weinviertel (7) to the “Heiligen Stein” (8). Heading downhill, past a marker indicating the Austrian-Czech border (9), through vineyards (10), and following Europastraße (11), the themed trail turns into Kaffeegasse (12). The final stop is at some private gardens (13) before the themed trail ends at its starting point, the farm shop.
