The route leads from the Krahuletz Museum over the Kremserberg and the Bahnallee out of Eggenburg into the open field. At first, you follow the "Earth History Hiking Trail" to the Kühnring sandpit, then continue west to the village of Kühnring, pass through it and leave it heading north. It then continues to an agricultural path, from there to the right back towards Eggenburg and along the route of the "Meiseldorfer Teich Hiking Trail" to the center.
Public free parking at the Eggenburg Stadthalle, access via Kühnringerstraße or Leinwandbleiche.

From Vienna on the A22 to Stockerau, then on the B4 towards Horn to Maissau, turn-off to Eggenburg on the B35, 8 km more.
Or from Stockerau via the B303 to Hollabrunn and further on the B2 via Schön grabern to Eggenburg.
Coming from the West Autobahn (A1), take the St. Pölten East exit on the S33 towards Krems to Gedersdorf, continue on the B35 via Straß and Mühlbach to the B4, then left towards Horn to Maissau, turn-off to Eggenburg on the B35 until Eggenburg.
From the Czech Republic via the 413 over Hnanice/Mitterretzbach, continue on the B35 via Retz to Eggenburg
