Kellergassenrundwanderweg

From the main square—the town fountain—we pass through the Verderber and Znaimer Gates, turning left at the first intersection onto Windmühlgasse. At the end of this street, a trail branches off to the left toward the Kümmerl Chapel. Passing the chapel, we walk through vineyards, down the “Holzapfelweg” toward Obernalb. We stay west of the village, cross the stream, and finally reach the end of Lindenstraße. From there, we head up wine cellar lane. Once at the top, we turn left, follow the main street about 150 meters east, and then walk down the “Hühnerkoppeln” wine cellar lane. We now cross Obernalb through narrow alleys before taking a trail to the “Urteln” wine cellar lane. This wine cellar lane connects Obernalb with Unternalb. Once in Unternalb, we cross the railroad tracks and then continue left, heading back toward Retz.

There is a short-term parking zone right on the town square. Therefore, please park outside the city center.

Coming from Krems, take the B35 to Retz.
Coming from Vienna, take the A22 to Stockerau, then take the S3 toward Retz.

Retz is accessible by both train and bus.
Trains run hourly from Vienna to Retz.
