After crossing the border three times, you’ll pass through the golfing and equestrian village of Autendorf and arrive in the medieval town of Drosendorf. The town is situated on a high rocky outcrop, surrounded on three sides by the Thaya River. It is the only Austrian town surrounded by a fully preserved city wall.
Baroque facades and old townhouses frame the main square. Tip! During peak season, you can take the Reblaus Express scenic train from Retz to Drosendorf and back. Bicycle transport is free.
