Koliskowarte

Lookout tower

Description

The observation tower in the Hollabrunn church forest was built in 1935 and was given a twelve-metre-high steel superstructure in 2016. By doubling its height, the Kolisksowarte now once again offers an unobstructed panoramic view far beyond the region as far as Schneeberg and Ötscher. A toprope climbing facility also makes the granite tower accessible for sporting use. The lookout is named after Mayor Dr. Rudolf Kolisko (1858-1942), who had it built with his own funds.

The Koliskowarte is easily accessible via two Hollabrunn hiking trails and can be easily reached in around 30 minutes from the starting point at the Hubertus Monument.
