Description

Heldenberg – a heroic place full of experiences

Der Heldenberg in the Weinviertel region combines culture, history, nature, and culinary delights all in one place, offering a diverse range of experiences for the whole family. At Aigner’s Falkenhof, visitors can admire numerous birds of prey during a walk through the aviaries. The flight demonstrations are particularly impressive, where these elegant birds showcase their skills high in the sky and during rapid dives. These presentations also offer fascinating insights into their lifestyle, hunting behavior, and ecological importance.

Koller’s Classic Car Museum

Technology enthusiasts will enjoy Koller’s Classic Car Museum, which features over 100 vehicles from around 70 manufacturers, narrating the story of mobility—from carriages to modern sports cars. Visitors can also explore historic motorcycles, tractors, and bicycles, taking a journey through over 130 years of automotive history. The museum can be visited individually or as part of a guided tour.

Radetzky Memorial Site

A journey into history awaits at the Radetzky Memorial Site. A multimedia introduction provides a vivid impression of the era of the famous Field Marshal Josef Count Radetzky. Impressive dioramas depict major battles, such as the Battle of Aspern. Outside, visitors can admire the monumental site with its mighty obelisk, beneath which lie the crypts of Radetzky and other notable figures.

Spanish Riding School

An exclusive insight into the world of the famous white stallions of the Spanish Riding School is offered at the Lipizzaner Training Center. Guided tours provide captivating insights into the training, care, and history of these noble horses. Up to 30 Lipizzaners of different ages are housed here. The visit includes a presentation, a film screening, and an exhibition of historic carriages. For children, there is also an adventure trail featuring a hobby horse obstacle course.

Stone Age village

At the reconstructed Stone Age village, visitors can experience how people lived over 7,000 years ago. The site features typical buildings and crafts of the Neolithic period. Particularly impressive are the accurately reconstructed circular ditches, which also served as astronomical sites at the time. The area is freely accessible and invites exploration.

Heldenberg Garden

The natural English Garden, a show garden of the “Nature in the Garden” initiative, offers a peaceful and inspirational retreat. Right next to it, Café Heldenberg invites visitors to enjoy a relaxing break with views of the greenery. For younger guests, there is a play corner and an adjacent shop with lovingly curated souvenirs and gifts.

Heldenberg Wine Tasting

The visit is perfectly rounded off at the Heldenberg Vinothek, located above the classic car museum. It offers a fine selection of wines from over 30 winemakers from the Weinviertel region—ideal for a delightful break or a souvenir to take home.
