Strasshof Railway Museum

The living museum! Not far from Vienna, there is a place where the old Austrian railway workers feel at home: "Das Heizhaus” Strasshof Railway Museum was set up near the previous depot, which was in operation until 1978, by the “1. österreichischen Straßenbahn- u. Eisenbahnklub” [1st Austrian tram and railway club] (1.öSEK) and opened in 1984. Visitors have the opportunity to experience a range of locomotives and wagons in the original setting and historic atmosphere.
