Stronsdorf in the district of Mistelbach is a market town in the Weinviertel. It comprises the villages of Oberschoderlee, Patzenthal, Patzmannsdorf, Stronegg, Stronsdorf and Unterschoderlee. Stronsdorf was probably founded around the 9th century as a Slavic settlement. The first documented mention dates back to 1072.

Off to the Blue Mountain: nature reserve in Oberschoderlee

Oberschoderlee is home to the Blauer Berg, a designated nature reserve. The loess dry grassland is home to unique Pannonian dry vegetation. Numerous rare species of butterflies, grasshoppers and birds (including the bee-eater and the eagle owl) have their strictly protected home here.
