Andrea and Alfred Much's winery is a family business in Straning, a small community between Maissau and Eggenburg, with the old wine town of Retz at its heart. Situated at the foothills of the Manhartsberg with its primary rock and loess soils, this place offers optimal conditions for viticulture. Grüne Veltliner, the farm's main variety, as well as Riesling, Chardonnay and typical Austrian red wines thrive here. The farm's cellar is located in one of the most beautiful wine cellar lanes in the Weinviertel, which makes a majestic impression with its large two-storey press houses and represents the culture of the landscape. A particular highlight of the estate is its landmark: a wooden dovecote on a high, massive, brick Tuscan pedestal from the mid-19th century.
