The refreshment station is located right along several popular bike trails, making it the ideal stop for all leisure cyclists. Among others, the Chardonnay Bike Trail and the Weinviertel wine cellar lane bike loop pass right by our winery. The Iron Curtain Trail also runs almost directly past our farm stand—requiring only a short detour of a few hundred meters.
Here, you can enjoy and purchase the Ackerl family’s wines (white, red, rosé, frizzante, vermouth) directly from the farm at attractive prices. In addition to bottles and liter-sized bottles, you can also sample the wines by the glass. For a refreshing break, ready-to-drink white wine spritzers, rosé spritzers, and spritzer-style grape juice are also available in convenient 0.33-liter bottles. Water is, of course, also available.
For small gifts or special moments of indulgence, you’ll also find homemade specialties here, such as red wine jelly and red wine salt. If you’d like to give the Ackerl family’s wine as a gift, you can find matching gift tags here to add a personal touch.
Guests can choose from several cozy seating areas:
- right in front of the cellar,
- in a shady spot next to the cellar behind the wayside shrine,
- across from the cellar by the cooperative’s pond,
- or above the cellar in the middle of the vineyard with a magnificent view of the vines and the countryside around Retzbach.
In the vineyard garden, lounge chairs also invite you to linger and relax—here you can perfectly enjoy the peace and quiet, nature, and a good glass of wine.
Four-legged guests are also warmly welcome: a water bowl for dogs is provided.
Payment is easy—you can pay by bank transfer or in cash on site.
Right in town, not far from the drinking station, there’s also a farm stand where you can shop for local products.
The drinking station is located just about 5 km from Retz and is also only 1 km from the popular excursion destination “Heiliger Stein.” The historic town of Znaim (Znojmo), with its beautiful bike paths, is just about 13 km away.
