Description

The Riede Kalvarienberg in Schrattenthal offers a breathtaking view of the entire town of Schrattenthal. Historical sights such as Schrattenthal Castle, owned by the Schubert family, can be seen from here. The castle park is home to an impressive 60,000 plants. The "Europawarte St. Benedikt" viewing platform towers above Waitzendorf, which was built into the Manhartsberg. In the village of Obermarkersdorf, the church tower and the town hall tower are further highlights. Schrattenthal is a place that combines history, nature and architecture in a unique way.
