Mountain biking in the Weinviertel? It’s possible!

In response to increasingly snow-poor winters and growing interest in mountain biking, the newly founded association “Trailwerk Weinviertel” began realizing its vision for the “Trailpark Fahndorf” as part of a LEADER project. Since 2024, “die Goaß” has been a year-round destination and, with the Trailpark Fahndorf, a hotspot for mountain bike enthusiasts—complete with a rest area for cyclists and a sun terrace.

The idea was conceived in 2021 and, in collaboration with landowners, hunting authorities, and local municipalities, became a reality within just a few years. The first downhill trail, the Iso-Line—including an uphill trail—was followed in 2025 by the Dach Trail; both were built with minimal impact on the natural environment. The association received support in planning and construction from Trailwerk Wachau and Red Bull Rampage star Clemens Kaudela.

The trail park is free to use and, once fully developed, will offer trails for every skill level: from children and beginners to technically challenging routes.
