Bernhardsthal landscape pond
With its 25 hectares of water and a bank length of approx. 2.7 km, the landscape pond in Bernhardsthal is the largest water area in the Weinviertel. Birds, wild ducks, herons and swans feel at home here.
A special feature of this pond is that it is divided by the Kaiser Ferdinand Nordbahn railroad bridge, which dates back to 1839 and is the oldest preserved railroad structure in Austria. Karl Ritter von Ghega was responsible for this unique structure, which is particularly popular with railroad enthusiasts. Around the pond there are numerous opportunities for those seeking relaxation, while children can give free rein to their urge to move around in the adjacent playground.

Pedal boats
The landscape can also be wonderfully enjoyed from the water by pedal boat (pedal boat hire during opening hours directly at the adjacent "Teichstüberl" wine tavern or at the municipal office)

The "Holzweg"
Whether you prefer a sporty and brisk walk with Nordic Walking poles or a leisurely stroll along the "Holzweg" is up to you.
The Holzweg is a nature trail that encourages you to explore the bushes and trees in Bernhardsthal on your own. Many of the plants around the pond are marked with a QR code. Scanning this code provides lots of interesting information about the flora in the Weinviertel.

Teichstüberl
Cold and hot delicacies and homemade sausages are served in the adjacent wine tavern with a wonderful view of the landscaped pond.
