The parish church in Leitzersdorf is dedicated to St. James the Elder and stands somewhat elevated in the center of the village on the top of the Angers. Its origins date back to the 14th century, although the core of the building is probably Romanesque. Over time, the church underwent Baroque alterations and was extended in the 18th century by adding side aisles to form a basilica. The baroque south tower and baroque windows characterize the exterior appearance. The Gothic side chapel from the 14th century and a Baroque altar from 1756 in the right aisle are particularly worth seeing. Inside, the church features stucco, a marble altar and elements from various eras and was last restored in 2000. The adjoining baroque vicarage dates back to 1737 and is part of the historic ensemble of the village.
