open daily

As part of the "40 years of village renewal" event, the Ziersdorfer Gemeindekeller was awarded first place in the "Living together" category. This award focuses on social meeting places with the aim of creating lively places for people to come together.

The implementation of this sustainable project was made possible by the strong voluntary commitment of the village renewal association, the local population and close cooperation with the municipal administration. After a two-year construction phase, the new community cellar was created from an old cellar in Horner Straße with a great deal of commitment. It was opened in 2024 and has already been used for numerous events such as wine blessings, celebrations and awards ceremonies.

Outside of events, the community cellar is freely accessible to guests every day from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. via a door button. The parlor games provided can be tried out as the mood takes you.

The old cellar tube with its concrete cistern lined with glass tiles is also worth seeing. It holds two times 175 hectoliters of wine. Vincent, the oldest cellar spirit in the Schmidatal, "lives" in it.

Guided tours and wine tastings can be booked by telephone on 0664 45 70 800.
