A journey into the past of kitchen history with many fully furnished kitchens from several decades, from 1900 to 1970. After years of preparation, a long period of collecting kitchen utensils, appliances and kitchen furnishings, the second kitchen museum in the oldest house in Herrnbaumgarten opened its doors in April 2018. The exhibition space has thus been multiplied and presents a diverse and lovingly designed exhibition on the subject of kitchens and is an extension of the first kitchen museum house, which has existed since 2008. Among other things, visitors can expect to see an original kitchen from the 1960s with "Daisy" lily porcelain as well as many collected pieces from grandmother's time. Particularly eye-catching are the larder with delicacies (recipes in our cookbooks!) and magnificent storage containers. The variety of kitchen and cooking utensils will amaze every guest.
This gives you an impression of the technical revolution that took place in our kitchens in the last century.
The "mixed goods shop" is an old-fashioned shop with original inventory from the founding period (1877), which includes shopworn items from the store's 100-year-old stock.
