Winzerhof Mayr

The family business is located in Oberthern in the municipality of Heldenberg. Franz and Christine Mayr work full-time at the winery. The younger son Johannes is already contributing his acquired knowledge to the business and the seniors Franz and Anna Mayr are happy to help as much as they can. The farm cultivates 10 hectares of vineyards with Grüne Veltliner as the main variety. The extensive range includes traditional, indigenous varieties such as Frühroter Veltliner, internationally renowned grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and the red wine varieties Blauer Zweigelt and Blauburger. The focus is on fruity, varietal wines.

Natural work in the vineyard, modern cellar management combined with knowledge and experience are the guarantee for high-quality wines, which are regularly awarded prizes at various events such as the AWC Vienna or the Landesweinverkostung Krems.
Individual customer service in the context of private wine tastings or vineyard hikes is very important to the Mayr family. They take time for conversation and a good glass of wine and approach guests in a flexible, uncomplicated and competent manner.
