Description

The cycling route passes through the northeasternmost part of the Weinviertel. As the name of the small region suggests, it connects the 3 countries Austria, Czechia, and Slovakia. The Weinviertel Dreiländereck cycling route offers an alternative route to the Iron Curtain Trail.

Route description Weinviertel Dreiländereck cycling route

At the Czech border crossing in Ottenthal, the main cycling routes EV13 and KTM meet. The Dreiländereck route also starts there and runs parallel to the KTM to Kleinschweinbarth. From there, it continues through Drasenhofen and Steinebrunn towards Schrattenberg. The route continues eastward parallel to the Czech border through the villages of Katzelsdorf, Reintal, and Bernhardsthal. From there, the route continues southward through Rabensburg to Hohenau, where it joins the March Panorama Route.

Along the route, you can find small recreational areas such as the ponds in Katzelsdorf and Bernhardsthal. You can also relax and refresh yourself at the bathing pond in Hohenau.
