Weingut Johann Wunderer
Description
The Wunderer winery, which was taken over by Johann Wunderer in 1986, is continuing the quality efforts of the previous generation, modernizing the business and adapting to current requirements. Since 2009, the winery has been welcoming guests in a new tasting room. Most of the vineyards are located on the 'Hochstraß' range of hills in the municipality of Ebersbrunn. The south-facing slopes with excellent climatic exposure offer ideal conditions for ripening grapes of the highest quality. The grapes are refined to top quality through extensive vineyard work and yield control. Gentle grape processing and hygienic cellar management are standard at the Wunderer winery. In order to achieve maximum fruit and freshness, the white wines are matured in stainless steel tanks. The red wines, on the other hand, mature in the old vaulted cellar in large wooden barrels, which leads to a pleasant rounding of the tannins.
